Dear Anitej,

To write an honors thesis, you need to find a faculty advisor to supervise it. Often this is done in tandem with joining a faculty member's lab and contributing to the lab's research agenda. We recommend the following strategies for finding a faculty advisor.

Hi,

I hope you’re doing well. My name is Anitej Suklikar and I am a rising senior at UMD and I wanted to reach out because I’m interested in pursuing a CS honors thesis and would love to learn more about the process and what it involves.

Would you happen to be free sometime next week for a Zoom call to discuss it? I’d really appreciate the chance to get your perspective and guidance.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Best,
Anitej Suklikar
